Our Countryside

Moutere Beekeeping is based near the idyllic country village, Upper Moutere.  

Our bees are overwintered in the Moutere Hills and coastal areas of Golden Bay and moved to honey sites after pollination, in the Nelson Ranges, Baton Valley and Upper Takaka area of  Golden Bay.

The business has also acquired land in Golden Bay where a manuka planting programme is being carried out.

The pristine environment, good mix of bush and pasture land and crystal clear streams and rivers, makes this area one of the healthiest for raising bees.
